The Speaker

Dr Begoña Gonzalez Otero, Senior Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, is a Spanish lawyer specialising in information law and competition law. She is an enthusiastic professional with an outstanding cross-functional background both as an academic administrator, legal counsel and researcher. Dr Otero has recently joined the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition as a Senior Research Fellow. Previously, she has worked as an independent consultant for large companies, European projects such as the Latin-American IPR Helpdesk and international associations such as the International Association of Public Transport (UITP). She is also former Dean of EU Business School, a Swiss private educational institution with campuses in three countries. Before writing her Ph.D., she worked as an IP lawyer both in Spain and Germany.
