This fact sheet gives guidance on the central IP issues which consortia need to consider during the grant preparation stage, which are encompassed in two main agreements underpinning the contractual framework of EU-funded projects: the Grant agreement and the Consortium Agreement. H2020 MoU - Memorandum of Understanding

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Horizon 2020 is an agreement that defines the framework of the negotiations among the partners of a consortium and that is generally concluded in the very beginning of the negotiations on the involvement in a project, even before submitting a proposal. It expresses a convergence of will between the parties, indicating an intended common line of action, helping to explain any protocols for communication, information exchange, reporting, confidentiality issues, and modifications and conditions for terminating the agreement.

Registration for our courses usually is possible right up until the date of the webinar. However, it could happen that the number of registrations exceeds the number of seats available in the course. In this case we will have to close registration earlier, unfortunately, and hope for your understanding.

For our web-courses we use WebEx Conferencing Technology. Please note, that the log-in data for the webinar will be sent to you shortly before the webinar takes place.

We would like you to please keep in mind that you will be asked by WebEx to install a browser application (i. e. the WebEx event center) on your computer when you use WebEx for the first time. This only takes a few minutes. Please ask your system administrator for assistance.

Training Concept: "IP in Business"

When starting, improving, buying a business it is always a good idea to check intangible assets like trademarks, patents or licences already existing or that you might need in order to exploit your IP rights. The European IPR Helpdesk provides participants with a general view on Technology Transfer, IP Assets Evaluation and Licensing Principles, in order to give some references for a correct market approach regarding Intellectual Property.

We also try to organise IP training events with a focus on special sectors, like Biotechnology or ICT etc.

The concepts consist of the following components:
