Aiming to guide participants through the expectations and requirements of the European
Commission-related IP, this workshop will mainly focus on Horizon2020 and SME instrument,
and will give some insights on how to deal with IP issues during the whole projects' life, from
the drafting and evaluation of proposals, to the implementation phase, and finally the dissemination
and exploitation of results. Additionally, the audience will be advised on how to manage IP efficiently,
both at individual and consortium level within EU collaborative projects.
After this workshop, participants will be aware of the benefits of handling IP in research and
innovation initiatives, for example using patent search as a source of information in research
projects, protecting results, and transferring knowledge, and will be able to improve the
"Excellence" and "Impact" criteria of their projects.
