European Commission investigation on the patents commercialisation in the Irish SME sector

The European Commission has contacted Galway Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the Enterprise Europe Network, to investigate the commercialisation of patents in Ireland in the SME sector.  This is an opportunity for SMEs to contribute and directly influence European policy which is currently being developed around the SMEs and their access and use of Patents as driver of Innovation.

The survey should be completed by the Chief Executive Officer or Owner of SMEs who meet the following criteria:

• An Irish SME with a patent portfolio

• An Irish SME without a patent portfolio but producing technology intensive products and / or providing knowledge intensive services.
