The Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) has launched a consultation on the tasks and activities of the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights following the formal entrustment of the organisation to the Office on 5 June.

The OHIM President Antonio Campinos announced that while the Observatory would continue with the projects currently under way, a comprehensive consultation exercise would be launched immediately to reach out to all stakeholders.

“We need to make sure that everyone – with no exceptions – who has a view on these issues has a chance to be heard on what tasks or activities the Observatory should undertake within, of course, the bounds of the Regulation”, Campinos said.
