COVID-19 Special! - in cooperation with EuropaBio!

Especially targeting those among you who are involved in the current tackling of COVID-19 this webinar will also focus on recent examples of successfully implemented IP strategies in the field of biotechnology as well as on potential short-cut avenues of admission which can be of use during these fast-moving times!

General content:

The term biotechnology summarizes all technologies relating to living systems and organisms as a basis for developing and manufacturing technological applications that use biological systems. The field of biotechnology is regarded as one of the most innovative fields in terms of developing future applications.

The protection of biotech inventions by appropriate Intellectual Property Rights is extremely important due to the close link between such innovations and the development of a product. Thus, “Patent Off” for instance has to be avoided.

The webinar will give an overview about

  • Relevant IP rights
  • The context of IP in product development
  • Specifics of IP in biotech
  • Development of an IP portfolio
  • Management of an IP portfolio

EuropaBio and its members are committed to the socially responsible use of biotechnology to improve quality of life, to prevent, diagnose, treat and cure diseases, to improve the quality and quantity of food and feedstuffs and to move towards a biobased and zero-waste economy. EuropaBio's primary focus is Europe but because of the global character of the business, we also represent our members in transatlantic and worldwide discussions. We are actively engaged in increasing communications surrounding the benefits of biotech and contribute to the creation of a coherent and positive innovation climate for the bioindustry in Europe.
